'Die Stal' Restaurant Christmas Gift Market in Montagu

The Christmas market last weekend at 'Die Stal' Restaurant just outside Montagu, was quite successful and a fun-filled day indeed. It was kind of my first market, and I must say it went better than expected. I took some pictures to share my experience ...

My Christmas tags - 10 different designs of my own, printed on recycled paper and made into packets of 5 each. It was my most popular product on the day :-)

My ear rings got very positive comments

Some wooden hearts I made for the market as well

This lovely wire mannequin formed part of my table display

Suzanne Venter, the owner of the restaurant, made these lovely Christmas trees

She also made these adorable little reindeer from braai wood

Everyone could relax and enjoy the day underneath the trees

The friendly kitchen staff of the restaurant - best chips I've ever had :-)

My week in Robertson

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting my sister in Robertson. She recently started working there and managed to find a beautiful old house, right next to her workplace mind you, to stay in. At some stage during the past, the house was actually divided into two halves ... the left wing is now occupied by my sis and the rest of the friends and family are continuously looking for any possible excuse to visit (my mother and myself being first in line :-). There is still a lot of work to be done, but with the typical beauty and character of an old house, I just had to take some pictures of some of the nooks and corners that she has decorated.

The original front entrance. It forms part of the right wing unfortunately,
but I still find it beautiful and striking.

The entire facade and 'voorstoep'.

The 'new' front entrance to the left wing, entering the living room ... love it!

The old sash window in the living room looking out onto the street.

One of the three flower pots in the dining room's window sill.

My favourite .... especially the paper maché sheep :-)

Feel the love :-)

The sill display in the spare room ... just love the old big windows.

Home is where the heart is ... one of the many lovely handmade hearts
displayed in and around the house

Green Glorious Green! Looking forward to my next stay sis :-)

Coast(er) to Coast(er)

Wow...it's been a while..but little miss green things is so busy preparing for all her upcoming market days that blogging, sadly, shifted down on the priority list. But I thought I should at least post something ... just to prove that I'm still alive and kicking :-)

Well, every crafter probably tries to decoupage at least once in their lifetime...and I think I've reached that stage where I should at least try and test everything. I've actually managed to collect quite a bit of serviettes over the years - yes YEARS (I really don't like throwing anything away) :-) - and thought I might as well put them to use in some way or another. The end result was coasters...lots and lots of them. Bright, happy and VERY colourful coasters. I think they might even look good as little pieces of artworks in a collage on a wall :-)
